Ortiz, who is half Mexican descent from his paternal family, is half Mexican. His father was Sam Ortiz he gave him his name Tito. He went through a tough childhood because both his parents were addicted to heroin. He also was a part of the gangs. He also took drugs such as cocaine. As a youngster He was sent to detention for juveniles. His parents divorced when he reached 13 years old. He attended Huntington Beach High School where the school's wrestling team was a success. His mother removed him from school when he turned 18. Paul Herrera encouraged Ortiz's wrestling career as well as his decision to attend the college. Ortiz was married for 5 years with Kristin, his first spouse. He then had a relationship with Jenna Jameson. The couple had twins. The couple has since split.
