Lita Rossana Ford - also known as Lita Ford - is an American guitar player, singer and songwriter British descendance. In the late 70s, she was a guitar player in the girls-only hard rock group The Runaways. The group was not successful on the scene in their home country of the United States, but gained enormous popularity overseas. Ford enjoyed a lengthy and prosperous career as a heavy metal performer after the band split in 1979. Ford began vocal training and then released her debut solo album, 'Out for Blood'. This was followed by the release of 'Dancin at the Edge'. Ford vanished for some years in the rock world following the releases of both albums. In 1988, Ford returned into the spotlight thanks to her hit album "Lita". It became a huge smash for the track 'Kiss Me Deadly,' and the ballad 'Close My Eyes forever. However, the success of her music was short-lived as she disappeared from the music industry for many years.
